The final book of the Bible, Revelation, has long been regarded as a “difficult prophetic text” due to its many symbolic expressions. However, among pastors and believers in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, there has recently been a growing response to no longer view Revelation as an abstract eschatological concept, but rather as a word through which the fulfilled reality can be confirmed.

This shift is also clearly evident on the ground. Last year, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe (Tribe Leader Yoo Jae-wook) held a total of 33 Bible seminars in the Gwangju–Jeonnam region alone. In the new year of 2026, the Shincheonji Word Grand Seminar was held first nationwide at Shincheonji Gwangju Church. At this event, approximately 72,000 attendees—including 155 local pastors, congregants, believers, and members of the general public—were present.

Gwangju and Jeonnam have a deep history of Christian missions and strong denominational traditions. Nevertheless, the fact that pastors themselves participated demonstrates that a movement to verify “Revelation and its reality” is spreading within the regional Christian community.

Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji testified openly about the fulfilled reality of the New Testament book of Revelation before the gathered pastors and believers. He stated that believers cannot enter heaven if they add to or subtract from Revelation, and emphasized the importance of understanding its true meaning in one’s faith. He also urged individuals to ask themselves, “Who am I according to the Bible? Have I been created according to Revelation?”

Tribe Leader Yoo Jae-wook said, “The footsteps of pastors and believers seeking to directly verify the word of ‘the fulfillment reality of Revelation’—testified by the promised messenger of Jesus in Revelation—are continuing beyond Korea to overseas.” He added, “The word of the reality of Revelation, testified through Jesus’ messenger, is open to all who long for the word of God.”
