“Let’s have both a child from Shincheonji Church of Jesus and a theological doctorate holder take a Bible test together. I am confident that the knowledge of the Shincheonji child will be higher.”

At 2 p.m. on the 4th, Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus took the podium at the Busan Andrew Training Center for the “2026 Shincheonji Word Grand Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfillment Reality of Revelation.”

Following the grand seminar held in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul on the 28th of last month, this Busan event was successfully conducted with a large gathering of believers from the Yeongnam region. The venue was crowded with believers and citizens eager to confirm the truth, leaving no room to step.

A Busan-based attendee (Mr./Ms. A) said, “Seeing such a massive crowd gather in Busan following Seoul, I can truly feel how great the public interest in Shincheonji Church of Jesus is.”

Chairman Lee stated, “Even if one reads the Bible every day, it is meaningless if one does not understand the recorded meaning. How can one believe in something they do not even know?” emphasizing the necessity of a faith grounded in the Word of the Bible.

He added, “Revelation 22:18–19 states that if this Word is added to or taken away from, one cannot enter heaven and will be cursed. If one does not understand the true meaning of Revelation, written in parables, and its fulfilled reality, anyone will inevitably alter it. However, this person (referring to himself) can testify to all the words of Revelation and all their fulfilled realities. If I were not confident, could I speak this way?”

In particular, Chairman Lee remarked, “If a Bible test were given between a child from Shincheonji and a Protestant theological doctorate holder, I am confident the Shincheonji child would have greater knowledge,” delivering a message to Protestant pastors and believers not to rely on academic titles, authority, or prestige, but to humbly understand the Bible and become one through the Word.

During the seminar, a case was presented of a pastor who had served for 40 years in an established denomination but later joined Shincheonji Church of Jesus after learning its teachings. He stated, “I came to clearly understand the mysteries of Revelation that I could not comprehend before, and I burned all my commentaries worth tens of millions of won. Now, I preach Shincheonji teachings from the pulpit, and the church is full of vitality.”

Additionally, twelve pastors from established denominations who had signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for “Word exchange” with Shincheonji Church of Jesus presented a bouquet to Chairman Lee, stating, “We will master Revelation and testify together with the Chairman.” They also called out in unison to fellow pastors, “Do not add to or subtract from Revelation. Let us return to the revealed Word and become true shepherds.”

In reality, exchanges between Shincheonji Church of Jesus and established denominations have recently accelerated. According to Shincheonji, in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions, Word Grand Seminars, follow-up seminars, and open house events have been consistently held since the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 15 Word Grand Seminars and 39 follow-up programs have attracted approximately 78,000 cumulative participants. Among them, the reattendance rate of pastors is 80%, which is considered an unusual phenomenon in the Yeongnam region, where Buddhism has traditionally been more prominent than Christianity.

Pastor Kang, who signed an MOU with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, said, “Isn’t the mission of a pastor to deliver the true gospel and lead people to the path of God’s life? Only when we first understand the Word can we guide our congregations to truth and eternal life,” encouraging fellow pastors to courageously seek out Shincheonji teachings.

Following the lecture, a second session was held featuring a pastoral sharing and exchange discussion. Pastors engaged in discussions on “Face-to-face worship and strategies for church revival in the AI era.”

An official from Shincheonji’s Andrew Tribe stated, “We feel that interest in Shincheonji among pastors and believers is steadily increasing,” adding, “We hope this Word Grand Seminar serves as an opportunity to better understand the Book of Revelation and apply it in faith and pastoral ministry.”
