Shincheonji Church of Jesus Presents “Fulfillment of Mission” as 2026 New Year Motto, Emphasizing Fulfillment of Biblical Prophecies in Revelation

[January 1, 2026] Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Lee Man-hee; hereinafter Shincheonji Church of Jesus), a global Christian denomination headquartered in South Korea, has announced “The Year of Fulfilling Mission” as its motto for the 2026 New Year. The denomination proclaimed its intent to testify to the mission of believers as recorded in the Book of Revelation and to make the coming year one in which this mission is achieved.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus has traditionally shared its spiritual guidelines for the year through New Year’s services held at the beginning of each year. During the service held at the Yeongdeungpo Church in Seoul on January 1, Chairman Lee Man-hee delivered a New Year message focused on the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation, the final book of prophecy in the Bible.

Chairman Lee explained the traditional Korean New Year greeting, Song-gu-yeong-sin (sending off the old and welcoming the new), from a biblical perspective. He testified that “True Song-gu-yeong-sin is not merely the changing of the calendar, but the end of an era of corrupt religion as prophesied in the Bible and the opening of a new era in which God’s reign is established.”

He further emphasized that “One era ended with the falling of the sun, moon, and stars in Revelation Chapter 6, and a new era began with the creation of the 12 tribes through sealing in Revelation Chapter 7.” He stressed that “Since the sealed 12 tribes of Revelation Chapter 7 have appeared in the world, the auspicious time of Song-gu-yeong-sin has arrived,” adding that the current point in time (Revelation Chapter 7) is “the time of hope for which humanity has long waited.”

Chairman Lee referred to the “tree of life, yielding twelve manner of fruits every month” recorded in Revelation Chapter 22, stating that the Book of Revelation contains the promise that “God will use this tree of life as medicine to heal the world and achieve eternal life.”

Chairman Lee asserted that “Shincheonji, which has mastered Revelation, is the reality of these 12 tribes and the tree of life.” He urged the congregation, saying, “The only thing that can save people who would otherwise be unable to enter the kingdom of heaven because they added to or took away from Revelation is the tree of life; therefore, we must fulfill the mission of this tree of life.”

Finally, he repeatedly emphasized, “Let us spread this light (the Word) to the whole world,” and “Let others see, hear, and understand this light so that they may come under the light and become part of God’s family.”
