The powerful wave of the Word that has been shaking South Korea’s Christian community in 2026 arrived in the nation’s central region, Daejeon. Calling for believers to break down denominational barriers and unite solely based on the Bible, the event drew enthusiastic responses from pastors and believers throughout the Chungcheong region.

On the 6th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereafter Shincheonji Church of Jesus), successfully held its Bible Seminar at the Daejeon Matthias Tribe church. Following previous seminars in Yeongdeungpo (Seoul), Busan, Incheon, Daegu, Hanam, and Naju, the Daejeon event attracted not only local believers but also a large number of pastors from established churches, filling the venue to capacity.

Chairman Lee Man-hee clearly testified that he is the sole witness entrusted to reveal the true meaning and fulfillment of

the Book of Revelation.

The highlight of the seminar was Chairman Lee’s direct lecture on Revelation. Standing at the podium, he declared, “The Book of Revelation contains extremely precious truths, and the Bible says that anyone who adds to or subtracts from it will not enter heaven but will instead receive curses (Revelation 22:18–19).” He then challenged pastors directly, asking, “Have you not added to or taken away from these words? Were your churches truly created according to the Bible?”

Addressing mainstream denominations, he continued, “I proposed holding open public examinations based on Scripture, yet not a single person came forward. If they are truly orthodox, are they afraid they cannot defeat Shincheonji, which they call heretical?” He added, “Just as Jesus was called a heretic in the past, is the same thing happening today?” delivering a sharp rebuke.

Chairman Lee also referenced Revelation chapter 10, stating, “The Bible says that this scroll of Revelation would be given to one person to eat, and that he must prophesy again to peoples, nations, languages, and kings. Therefore, to understand Revelation, one must hear from the person who received and ate the scroll.” He testified, “This person (Chairman Lee) received the scroll of Revelation chapter 10 and has seen the physical fulfillment of the prophecies exactly as foretold.”

He further emphasized, “Even if someone who has seen the fulfillment testifies about it, those filled with their own judgments will refuse to accept it. Shouldn’t one empty out the old and fill oneself with something new?” He repeatedly urged pastors to lay down pride and fulfill their duties as true believers.

A Shift Toward ‘Word-Centered’ Faith

More than 100 pastors from established churches, along with numerous believers, attended the Daejeon Bible Seminar.

Chairman Lee’s appeal deeply resonated with many of the pastors in attendance. Throughout the lecture, pastors from established denominations could be seen intently following along with open Bibles and taking detailed notes. The scene reflected a growing trend within mainstream Christianity: rather than rejecting Shincheonji based on prejudice or accusations of heresy, more pastors are now choosing to listen and verify the teachings directly for themselves.

In fact, churches in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions are increasingly entering into MOU partnerships and word exchange agreements with Shincheonji Church of Jesus for mutual growth. As the spark of the Word ignited by Shincheonji spreads beyond the capital region and Yeongnam area into Chungcheong, South Korea’s Christian landscape is rapidly shifting from a “denomination-centered” structure to one centered entirely on the Word of God.

Attention is now focused on what kind of revival and transformation this undeniable wave of change may bring to a stagnant Christian community.
